Transportation Options

Battery Park City School is located in crowded, downtown Manhattan, and therefore does not have associated parking. Dancers will only need to bring their costumes and will not need to supply their own tents, chairs, or warm up mats, so we recommend arriving via public transit! The competition will provide changing areas and dancers will have a large gym with wood floors to warm up in, separate from the competition auditorium.

Battery Park City School is conveniently located near a multitude of subway, train, and ferry options:

  • 7 min walk from the Rector St subway station (1 train)

  • 7 min walk from the Bowling Green subway station (4 train)

  • 11 min walk from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal

  • Take the New York Waterway ferry from Hoboken or Jersey City to the Battery Park City / Brookfield Place Ferry Terminal
