Transportation Options
Battery Park City School is located in crowded, downtown Manhattan, and therefore does not have associated parking. Dancers will only need to bring their costumes and will not need to supply their own tents, chairs, or warm up mats, so we recommend arriving via public transit! The competition will provide changing areas and dancers will have a large gym with wood floors to warm up in, separate from the competition auditorium.
Battery Park City School is conveniently located near a multitude of subway, train, and ferry options:
7 min walk from the Rector St subway station (1 train)
7 min walk from the Bowling Green subway station (4 train)
10 min walk from the Whitehall St-South Ferry subway station (F, N, R, trains)
11 min walk from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal
17 min walk from the Battery Park City / Brookfield Place Ferry Terminal (serviced by the NYC ferry)
Public transit options if traveling from outside NYC:
Take the PATH train from New Jersey to the World Trade Center and transfer to the 1 or 4 train
Take Amtrak, New Jersey Transit, or the Long Island Rail Road to Penn Station and transfer to the 1 train
Take Metro North or the Long Island Rail Road to Grand Central Station and transfer to the 4 train
Take the New York Waterway ferry from Hoboken or Jersey City to the Battery Park City / Brookfield Place Ferry Terminal
Transfer from the Port Authority Bus Terminal to the 1, N, or R train
